BPF Accident Statistic Report 2023 Published

This year’s report was completed by 72 members, representing 16,142 employees that worked 21.4 million hours: a drop in responses but an increase in operatives and hours worked.

The top 5 causes of injury in the report are:

1. Slip, trip or fall on the same level (29%)
2. Injured whilst handling, lifting or carrying (22%)
3. Hit by moving inc. flying or falling, object (13%)
4. Contact with moving machinery (13%)
5. Knife injury (9%)
