ARMO 2023 – An Overview

It’s hard to believe that it has been a month since the ARMO 2023 rotational moulding conference and exhibition took place in Poznan, Poland. But the final numbers are now in, and the conference was undoubtedly a huge success.

The ARMO conference is a key event within the rotational moulding community. This edition was jointly organised by the British Plastics Federation and RotoPol. It featured two days of talks, 570 attendees and 60 exhibitors (building slightly on the numbers seen at the previous edition, held in Hamburg in 2018), as well as a packed evening dinner with entertainment, including traditional Polish dancing, at the end of day one.

The theme of the event was ‘sustainable rotational moulding’ and the conference programme reflected this, with talks covering material innovation, enhanced manufacturing processes and optimising energy use.

Feedback from the event was very positive, and Poznan proved a delightful city in which to host it. The event’s main sponsors were Lyondell Basell and Matrix Polymers. Silver sponsors were Corcoran ChemicalsDram srlMausOrex RotomouldingPersico and Rotovia; bronze sponsors were BocaMPLAST (India), PoliplastPolivinil Rotomachinery and SAT Thermique.

ARMO 2023 took place 10-12 September. Although this year’s event was organised by the BPF and RotoPol, the event series is owned by the Affiliation of Rotational Moulding Organisations (ARMO), which is a group of organisations that provide services to the global rotational moulding industry. Each edition typically takes place in a different host country. The next ARMO event, 'Rotoplas', is taking place in Chicago from 24-26 September 2024.
