Programme topics:

ABB’s Steven Banton will look at pioneering robotics, machine automation and digital services, providing innovative solutions for the plastics industry.

Andy Jewell of Intouch Montioring will show how real-time data can assist manufacturers in significantly increasing manufacturing productivity and profitability (as part of a strategy for implementing Industry 4.0).

Angus Hall of Isocool will present on:

  • How to realise energy savings through reducing chiller usage with adiabatic and direct free air coolers during low ambient conditions.
  • How companies specifically in the plastics industry can improve the efficiency and energy consumption of their cooling and chilled water systems with a centralised adiabatic water cooling system.
  • Hear about an example of an injection moulding company who saw a reduction in running costs of their electricity, water treatment and water supply in excess of £200,000 /annum and a return on investment of under two years

Mark Amphlett of Spitfire Software Ltd will discuss bringing industry 4.0 into today’s plastics manufacturing premises, to help increase efficiencies throughout, and prove a return on investment.

TH Plastics General Manager, Ash Seddon will look at plastic packaging tax and how we can make simple changes that will streamline operations around its validation in production.
