BPF Rotational Moulders Make Debut at Subcon

The British Plastics Federation Rotational Moulders Group was in full force at this year’s Subcon Exhibition at the NEC, a show aimed at promoting manufacturing excellence within the UK. The Group made a major contribution as part of the Exhibition’s seminar programme on June 6th.

The Group presentation, ‘Rotomoulding – the Why & Who’, introduced rotational moulding processes to an audience of the best young minds in the UK manufacturing industry.  Karen Drinkwater, Group Chair, highlighted the key challenges and opportunities that can be achieved through rotational moulding.

On the day the Rotational Moulding Group members presented to the audience a series of case studies helping to educate the audience on what can be achieved through the rotational moulding process. Shaun Champion (Corilla Plastics), John Barker (Crompton Mouldings), Stuart Wright (Rototek) and Leafield Environmental all spoke.

Karen Drinkwater, Chair of the BPF Rotational Moulders Group said ' This is the first time rotomoulding has been represented at Subcon and we were delighted with the response we received. The wide range of case studies given by our group members really engaged the audience and raised the profile of the rotational moulding sector within the manufacturing community.’

The presentation at Subcon is part of a series mounted by the BPF which has also addressed student audiences at Wolverhampton and Warwick Universities designed to brief users and designers on the full potential of rotational moulding.

The Presentation and case studies are now available on the Subcon website.
