BPF Rotational Moulding Group Greatly Increases Membership in 2012

The BPF Rotational Moulders Group is celebrating hitting a record high in membership, with the group growing by over 50% in 2012. Attracting a broad section of moulders, material suppliers, machinery manufacturers, ancillary equipment suppliers and service providers; 493K, ACO Technologies, Francis Ward, Leafield Enviromemtal, Orchid, Rotomotive, Rototek (a trading name of Trent Mouldings Ltd), Tecni-Form and Steel Tool Soltions all joined this year.

The Rotational Moulders Group has been incredibly active in promoting the industry and hosted its annual Design and Innovation in Rotational Moulding Seminar at PDM in May. The Group are now in the process of working on an educational tool to secure greater understanding of the rotational moulding process and its contribution to engineering and design among university students. Its first showing is scheduled for the 14th December at the Wolverhampton University.

The presentation takes full advantage of the colour possibilities and opportunities for creating sleek, sweeping curves in products. It features winning entries to the prestigious Horners Award such as the easy clean hospital bedside table to illustrate its points and includes such applications as diverse as chairs, wheelbarrow, marine buoys, fuel storage containers, and electric car bodies.

The BPF Rotational Moulding Group was represented in full force at the Affiliation of Rotational Moulding Organisations (ARMO) Conference in Lyon on the 1st and 2nd of October. The Group showed its unity and strength at the conference with over 20 UK companies in attendance.

Karen Drinkwater, BPF Rotational Moulders Group Chair stated ‘Our key targets are future graduates, employees and customers, The Group are strategically vital in providing a communications platform to reach out to them’.
