BPF Seminar to Showcase Rotational Moulding Design Innovation

The British Plastics Federation (BPF) will host its second Design Innovation in Rotational Moulding seminar at PDM on the18th May 2011 following the success of last year’s event.

The seminar coordinated by the BPF’s Rotational Moulding Group will bring together a pool of professionals who will explore the latest design innovations made possible by the Rotational Moulding process and will give practical design tips and advice.

Highlights of the seminar include the exploration of Decoration and Special Finishes and a detailed look at Recycled Content and Recyclability. The BPF is confident that PDM’s move to the ExCel centre in London will tap into the city’s richly diverse design community.

Other topic areas include:

• What Can Be Achieved By Rotational Moulding?
• The Rotational Moulding Process: A Guide for Designers
• How to find the right rotational moulder for you
• A tool maker on what’s possible for complex designs
• A Supplier on the range of raw materials available

BPF Rotational Moulding Group Chairman, Martin Spencer, said, “The BPF is particularly excited that PDM is coming to ExCel in London and the opportunities that this seminar will bring to interface with the London design community. Consequently we will be working with PDM once more to stage a seminar entitled Design Innovation in Rotational Moulding

“The Design in Rotational Moulding seminar is one of the Rotational Moulding Group’s biggest success stories and has demonstrated its ability to promote and educate a wide audience on the key benefits associated with the process of rotational moulding,” added Martin Spencer.

Attendees to PDM are exposed to a wealth of information on varying aspects of Design and Moulding and the event presents a unique opportunity for guests to meet and network with suppliers of machinery, mouldmakers, polymer producers, compounders, polymer distributors, masterbatch and additive suppliers, software companies, materials testing specialists, design companies and a host of other industry services.

The seminar will start at 1.30 – 4.15 pm on Wednesday 18th May. For more information contact Jonathan Bloom on [email protected] or call 0207 457 5013.
