BPF Smarten Architects Up

The British Plastics Federation (BPF) in conjunction with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) race to the finishing line in educating architects on plastics materials usage to entice future exploitation of the plastics industry whilst securing a brighter future for all.

The BPF sponsors the 2011 Smart Materials Lectures with partners the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in a promissory series designed to heighten design freedom and pave the way towards pioneering possibilities between architecture, construction and plastics industries.

With 6 successful lectures down and 4 more to go, from University of Sheffield to the School of Architecture and Design in Belfast, momentum is building like a downhill snowball in show-casing plastics benefits.

Speaker contributions come from Bob Sheil of The Bartlett School of Architecture, Roger Mottram (Ineos ChlorVinyls), Jason Leadbitter of (Ineos ChlorVinyls) and Philip Law (BPF).  Accompanying the series is a brochure produced by the BPF, Plastics in Construction: A guide for Architects and Specifiers’.

The next lecture will be at Westminister University, London on 28th October, with BPF representative Roger Mottram speaking.
