BPF to Sponsor the “Guideline for Safety of Rotational Moulding Machines”

The BPF believes good Health and Safety practice should be available to everybody not just to its members; we share the passion for rotational moulding and we believe that working together is the way forward to fortify our industry.

As part of the BPF Rotational Moulding Group’s efforts to strengthen the Rotational Moulding Industry, the Group is pleased to announce that the BPF will be sponsoring the writing of a new “Guideline for Safety of Rotational Moulding Machines”.

The document would look at each type of machine and each aspect of the process. In each case it would highlight issues that companies should consider when compiling their own risk assessments

We aim to release the first draft of the document in December and to make the finished document available for everybody to download it in March (a small fee will be charged to help toward the cost. BPF members and all those who contributed to writing the document will pay half price).

The BPF, that is already working in collaboration with the IT-RO, the Italian Rotational Moulders Association, and ARM- CE, The German Rotational Moulding Organisation, will host an informal lunch for the representatives of all the countries participating at ARMO 2015 in the attempt to start working on a CEN standard or even an ISO, if the international involvement allows to go for it.

All the interested party, machines producers, moulders, trade association, are invited to express their interest by contacting the BPF.

If you require further information or would like to take part in the meeting, please contact Dr Sara Cammarano, BPF Industrial Issues Executive for the Rotational Moulding Group, email [email protected]
