BPF Statement on $1.5bn Fund From Alliance to End Plastic Waste

The British Plastics Federation (BPF) welcomes the announcement of this fund, of which a number of our members are major contributors. The BPF has previously highlighted the need to tackle the issue of plastic waste within target countries with inadequate waste infrastructure.

This initiative will provide much-needed capital to stop carelessly discarded plastic waste from causing harm to our environment. In support of this, our own initiatives to stop all plastic packaging going to landfill by 2030 and minimising the risk of plastic entering the sea from UK shores will continue.
