BPF Exhibit at RWM for First Time

From 10th – 12th September 2013 at Birmingham NEC, the BPF exhibited for the first time at RWM (Resource Efficiency and Waste Management Solutions).  More than 750 exhibitors took part in the show filling up 4 large halls with a number of additional stands outside featuring heavy machinery and other large scale products.

The BPF stand was part of the ‘Materials Village’ which comprised of a number of leading industry trade bodies including Confederation of Paper Industries, Textile Recycling Association, British Glass, Association for Organics Recycling, Resource Association, Recoup and Alupro.

Over the course of the three days the BPF’s stand was heavily used by visitors as a one stop shop solution for accessing information on the plastics recycling industry in the UK as well as getting contact details for member firms wishing to buy or sell recycled material.  In addition the BPF used the opportunity to promote its annual plastics recycling seminar, Replast, which is taking place on the 6th November at the IOM3 offices in London.

Over the course of the 3 day show the BPF distributed more than 300 Recycling Group Buyers Guides as well as several hundred Buyers Guides from other BPF member groups.

Interest in the association and its members was very high with a large number of sales leads generated for the Recycling Group as well as some very serious enquiries from companies looking to join the Federation.

Later in the year the BPF will also be exhibiting at Engineering Design Show (Ricoh Arena, Coventry) 2nd – 3rd October and Advanced Engineering (Birmingham NEC) 12th – 13th November where they will be once again collecting sales leads on behalf of their membership and distributing Buyers Guides.
