BPF January 2014 Business Conditions Survey

At the time of writing 90 BPF member companies have returned the BPF's January Business Conditions Survey.

 

We are surveying our companies' 2014 predictions on: UK and Export sales turnover; profitability and capacity utilisation; staffing and apprentices employment; skills needs; obtaining bank lending; investment intentions and awareness of the risk of future power cuts.

 

Peter Davis Director-General of the BPF said "our authoritative survey has been conducted every six months since 2009.  The Report is essential not just for the BPF's own planning and activities but is also highly valued by the Bank of England and the Department for Business.  They realise that the Plastics Industry is supplying to all parts of the manufacturing economy and are a valuable barometer of trends".
