BPF’s Annual Accident Survey 2012 Is Now Available

The BPF’s Annual Accident Survey, now in it’s 15th year, helps to gather useful information to support the Plastics Industry in its quest for improved Health and Safety performance.
Our accident record is worse than the UK Industry average, and analysis of the results of the accident survey assist in pin-pointing areas where focus is needed. Furthermore, it gives evidence which can be used to show that the plastics industry is making efforts to improve its accident record.

2011 has been the first year of the SIMPL (Safety in Manufacturing Plastics) strategy and it will be crucial to see the improvements in health and safety standards within the industry. So far, more than 50 company members have shown commitment signing the SIMPL pledge and have started to implement their action plans defining risk assessment criteria and delivery and monitory arrangements.
The BPF is committed to helping to improve health and safety across all sectors of the UK Plastics Industry. All Members are encouraged to sign the ‘SIMPL pledge’.
