"I am delighted to have exhibited in the British Pavilion at Plastivision India 2020. The expo has given Grafine invaluable insight into the Indian market and opened up a number of potential engagement opportunities which we will be perusing in the coming weeks.
I would like to extend my thanks to the British Plastics Federation for the excellent organisation and coordination of the stand, and to the Department for International Trade who supported us with a Tradeshow Access Programme grant, for without these, it would be extremely challenging for a small company such as ours to gain a foothold in the India market." Dr. Aravind Vijayaraghavan, Grafine Ltd.
The DIT supported a number of UK exhibitors with a Tradeshow Access Programme grant of £2,500 towards the stand cost, making the show very cost effective.
After the first day of the trade show, the DIT hosted a networking reception for the British exhibitors, Indian plastics companies and local Indian plastics industry bodies to facilitate introductions and strengthen existing links.

“DIT India and BPF have jointly worked on various events in the past and Plastivision 2020 added another successful chapter in the book. This event proved to be a great platform for UK companies to showcase their technologies and explore collaboration areas with Indian companies and trade association to work jointly on the more environment friendly and sustainable solutions. There is a huge scope for these technologies in the Indian market and we look forward to working with British Plastic Federation again on more such events in India” Jasdeep Jassal, Alister Suares - DIT India
Apart from the grant support, the DIT India helped with colating and printing of the British Guide to Plastivision 2020 - a booklet listing all UK exhibitors as well as all BPF Members. See the booklet below (also available to downolad as a PDF).
This was the BPF's fourth appearance at Plastivision, where the Federation organised the British Pavilion - previously participating in 2011, 2013 and 2017.
The quality of enquiries was extremely high and we received a record number of sales leads. The BPF received over 150 enquires, which will be shared with the BPF members within the next few weeks.
"Following a successful exhibition at Plastivision 2017, Astropol have exhibited again this year at Plastivision 2020. The assistance of the BPF, backed by the DIT funding, has made for a really positive experience in the lead up to and preparation for the event and enhanced the experience whist there. This support is invaluable for an SME like ours.
We have left the exhibition with some very encouraging leads in what is an exciting market with great potential. We look forward to following up on these and converting them into new business. The exhibition also provided the opportunity to meet and connect with existing partners too, both customers and suppliers." Chris Wright, Astropol Ltd
The fair is organised by a Indian plastics trade association called All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association (AIPMA), a member of Plastindia Foundation, which is a patron of the show.

One of the Brtish exhibitors, Prof.Edward Kosior of Nextek presented at the Circular Economy and Recycling Conference, which took place on day two of the exhibition.
"Although this year’s Plastivision event was a little smaller than in 2017 we found that the quality of enquiries was considerably better than the previous event. We returned with a good number of interesting OEM prospects coupled with many leads from end users who had real problems that we will be able to help with immediately. We would expect to get new business from the Indian market place based on the output from this event.
The team from the BPF provided a super level of service looking after us very well. They ensured that there were networking and socialising opportunities after the exhibition closed every evening. Well done BPF we are looking forward to the next event." Bruce Clothier, Fraser Anti-Static Techniques Ltd
BPF is organising the British Pavilion at Plastindia held in New Delhi (4-8 February 2021), where UK exhibitors can book an easy walk-in package stand. For more information contact Justyna Elliott at the BPF on [email protected]
