British Plastics Federation Annual Dinner achieves record numbers

The 84th British Plastics Federation Annual Dinner took place at the Lancaster London hotel on 12 October 2017. This gala event attracted a record 513 attendees from all sectors of the plastics industry. The evening also featured an after-dinner speech from John Sergeant, who entertained the audience with stories from his career as a journalist and from his time on Strictly Come Dancing.
On the evening, the BPF launched a new public-facing video intended to promote recycling to a young audience in an interesting new way. The BPF also highlighted its work in engaging with the media, in tackling issues such as plastics in the ocean and in attracting young people into the plastics industry.
During his speech at the event British Plastics Federation Director General Philip Law announced the winner of the BPF Energy award which was given to Epwin Group. The President of the BPF Bruce Margetts used his speech to announce the winner of the BPF Gold medal, which was given to Dr Christine Lukas for her distinguished service to the BPF and the Plastics Industry.
