Chinaplas 2018 BPF - Post Show Report

The British Plastics Federation reports from the recent Chinaplas exhibition, which took place in Shanghai, China between 24 and 27 April 2018.
About Chinaplas
The recent Chinaplas was the 32nd edition of the show, which is the largest annual plastics exhibition and a key industry event. The exhibition rotates between Shanghai and Guangzhiu and this year's edition took place in a new venue - the National Exhibition and Convention Center, (NECC), as the show had outgrown its previous location.
Again, the show broke the record of net space covererage, with thirteen occupied halls and 3,948 exhibitors from 40 countries and 180,701 visitors from 150 countries.

Thirteen country pavilions had their presence at the show from the following countries: Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
British Pavilion
The British Plastics Federation led the British Pavilion of eighteen exhibitors, some of which were recipients of a Department for International Trade (DIT) grant, which helped with their stand cost. The British Pavilion was based in Hall 2H, next to the pavilions of Germany, Austria and Italy, to name a few.

The BPF also presented brochures of some BPF Members who had taken part in an offer to display literature on the BPF stand.

The next edition of CHINAPLAS will take place in Guangzhou between 21 and 24t May 2019. The BPF is inviting companies to register interest in joining the British Pavilion.
