Declarations of Conformity for Revisions to Building Regulations now Available from the BPF

Declarations of Conformity are now available to buy from the British Plastics Federation (BPF). The declarations demonstrate that windows and doors manufactured by members of the BPF’s Windows Group are in conformity with Part L1B of the Building Regulations 2010 England and Wales (Conservation of Fuel and Power) and the Scottish Technical Handbook 2010, Section 6, Energy. The complete set of documents can be purchased for £50 (including VAT) from https://www.bpf.co.uk/Windows/Conformity.aspx
These Declarations will be given to customers on delivery and installation of products.
Three documents have been produced:
1. Windows with a U value of 1.6 W/m2.K
2. Doors with a U value of 1.8 W/m2.K
3. Doors with a U value of 1.6 W/m2.K (For Scotland)
In addition, to ensure full transparency, the names of companies purchasing these Declarations will be displayed on the BPF Windows Group website (www.bpfwindowsgroup.co.uk).
Please note the certificates are only valid with the company name on them and remain so until 30th September 2011.
