Edinburgh Napier University - Polymer Education, Research & Consultancy

Edinburgh Napier University has provided for the needs of the polymer industry since 1965. Today it is the only UK provider of BEng (Hons) Polymer Engineering, which along with our MSc Polymer Engineering is accredited by the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining as satisfying the academic requirements for incorporated Engineer (IEng) and Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Polymer Training and Innovation Centre

The technical team employed by PTIC have been involved in the delivery of training and consultancy support for UK and internationally based polymer processing companies for over 40 years.

Since the original organisation was created as an Industry Training Board in 1975 they have worked with various blue chip multi-nationals to push the boundaries of polymer processing. The unique advantage of working with PTIC is their strength through diversity and experience of the staff they employ.

The WMG SME Group is a dynamic team, pioneering university support for innovation in small and medium sized businesses. We help manufacturing SMEs to develop new products and materials, test and recycle materials, and make shop floors/factories smarter and more efficient.
