Easyfairs Acquires UK Tech Events Ltd
Easyfairs has acquired UK Tech Events Ltd, organiser of the Advanced Engineering UK portfolio of events. Taking place from 4 – 5 November 2015 at The NEC, Birmingham, it is the UK’s largest annual advanced engineering trade exhibition and conference.
Matt Benyon, Managing Director, Easyfairs UK & Global commented: “We are tremendously excited to announce this acquisition. Advanced Engineering UK is a vital industrial exhibition which sits at the heart of UK engineering. Since its launch in 2009, the event has experienced phenomenal growth, indeed the 2014 edition attracted in excess of 700 exhibitors and over 12,000 visitors.
“Advanced Engineering UK fits impeccably within the wider Easyfairs portfolio. We are excited to continue the growth of the event and serving the UK Engineering community.”
Advanced Engineering UK is the number one event for the high performance engineering sectors. It comprises multiple exhibition zones including Aero Engineering, Composites Engineering, Automotive Engineering and Performance Metals Engineering.
Since its inception, and under the stewardship of founding UK Tech Events co-directors Ian and Jini Stone, the event has constantly evolved to incorporate new and emerging technologies. With a comprehensive engineering conference programme and innovation driven exhibiting companies, Advanced Engineering UK attracts an impressive buying audience from both the UK and abroad including Airbus, Aston Martin, Baxter Healthcare, BAE Systems, Bombardier, BMW Group, Caterpillar, Cosworth, EADS Astrium, GE Oil & Gas, Jaguar Land Rover, Lockheed Martin, MAHLE Powertrain, Princess Yachts, Red Bull Technology, Rolls Royce, Thales, Vauxhall Motors, Williams F1 Engineering and many more.
The event serves sectors which are integral to British economy and have a significant impact on the country’s market. The automotive sector is one of the UK’s leading export sectors and the UK aerospace sector is the leading national industry in Europe and second largest globally.
Upon selling to Easyfairs, Ian Stone, Managing Director of UK Tech Events Ltd, said: “Having developed the event for seven years, we are very proud that Advanced Engineering UK has earned its place as the leading event in the UK for this dynamic and evolving sector.
