COVID-19: Schools Reopening and Apprentices Update
|
As you may be aware. the Prime Minister announced that primary schools will begin to reopen starting June the 1st in May. Secondary schools, sixth forms and colleges will look to arrange face-to-face meetings with year 10 and year 12 students to help them through the transition stage. On June 2nd government included an update with information on which apprentices should be prioritised in the offer of face-to-face training from the 15th of June. This included details of the flexibility that enables apprentices to take end-point assessment ahead of receiving their calculated functional skills qualification results. Apprenticeships and Traineeships Statistics: May 2020

The impact of COVID-19 on education and children’s services

The Education Committee has launched an inquiry into the impact of COVI-19. The inquiry will look at how the outbreak of COVID-19 is affecting all aspects of the education sector and children’s social care system and will scrutinise how the Department for Education is dealing with the situation.
