The Polymer Apprentice of the Year Awards is launching SOON!

The BPF is happy to announce that the Polymer Apprentice of the Year Awards (PAYA’s) is launching soon. PAYA20 is now in its fifth year and has been successfully running for half a decade. The number of entries has been consistent, and the process has been streamlined every year. The date for this year’s launch is Monday 28th of September 2020. The competition will be open for 6 weeks.

The Education and Skills Funding Agency has released guidance on how to resume apprenticeships based on three easy steps. These steps allow employers and training providers to get their apprenticeships up and running again. This step-by-step guide includes a video showing employers how to update an apprentice’s status in their apprenticeship account.

National Apprenticeship Awards 2020 is now Open for Entries!

Back for their 17th year, the National Apprenticeship Awards are a fantastic opportunity to showcase the apprentices, employers and champions who have gone above and beyond, in spite of the challenges faced during this pandemic.

Entries to the awards are open until 25 September 2020 and this year’s winners will be recognised via virtual ceremonies

Hire Experienced Apprentices Who Have Been Made Redundant!

Employers are encouraged to consider hiring apprentices who have been made redundant during the pandemic. These apprentices already have valuable skills and experience, so they will make an impact immediately and they too qualify for the incentive payments for hiring a new apprentice too.
