Pete Adey

Technical Manger, Staubli

Pete Adey is a control engineer who provides technical product and application support to improve productivity, safety and processes across a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Defence, Plastics injection moulding, Automotive manufacturing and Offshore.  Having spent 15 years with Staubli in both a commercial and technical role, Pete provides support and advice across a wide range of products and industries.  His knowledge and expertise enables customers to maximise their business processes.

Pete has worked with many large organisations including BAE systems, Jaguar Land Rover, Magna, and Bombardier, providing them with high quality solutions to meet their process and product requirements.

Pete is a time served apprentice with HNC in Electrical and control engineering.

 

 

Joe Chambers

Development Manager Decentralised and Flexible Generation, Peel L & P Group

Joe Chambers is a development manager at Peel Energy and has nine years’ experience in the energy sector. Most of Joe’s career has been within consultancy, working with both energy consumers and generators of various scales. He is now responsible for developing energy projects at Peel and is going to present a brief update on the UK renewables sector as well as an overview of Peel’s current projects – including those providing low carbon power directly to large energy consumers

 
 

 

Rebecca Darlington

Reporting Team Leader, LG Energy

Rebecca is an experienced and talented Reporting Analyst with a flair for creating bespoke reports to aid the process of 
improving accuracy and ease of reporting. Rebecca is excellent at interpreting and managing data, and responding 
proactively to problems which arise, in a timely and professional manner thinking critically and checking for errors.

 

Pete Kirkham

Managing Director, Billion UK

Peter Kirkham is the Managing Director for French injection moulding machine manufacturer; Billion. Peter has worked with Billion for nearly 40 years, starting out as a Service Engineer, progressing to Service Manager before taking a more active role in sales in 1992 when he became Technical Manager, then Technical Director. He took over then running of the company as Managing Director in 2001 and has continued in the role ever since. Peter is an active member of the BPF Health & Safety Committee, which works closely with the HSE in promoting safe working practices in our industry. 

 

 

Fred Pratt

Business Development, Energy Efficiency Division, CCS Technology

Fred has 20 years’ experience in design, development, and installation of retrofit motor speed control systems for injection moulding machines. From Goldstar and Meiki in Korea, through Krauss Maffei and Engel in Europe to Cincinnati and Van Dorn in North America, and much more; in most industries including automotive, packaging, white goods, construction, and household goods.

As a graduate engineer, Fred’s career started with an injection molding company in England. Other companies and assignments took him around the world in field and management rôles, always within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Fred founded his own business in 1995 with a focus on introducing energy efficiency to industrial and commercial businesses. By 2000 he had the first commercial motor speed control retrofitted to an injection molding machine, and since 2008 has worked with CCS Technology in the continual development of energy-saving applications for injection moulders.
