Eurocell Press Release: Eurocell PCE Gasket Option Improves Performance and Simplifies Fabrication

Eurocell has announced that all White composite door main profiles and reversible window profiles are now available with a co-extruded PCE flex gasket.

Introduction of the PCE system on these ranges will enable customers to offer more thermally efficient products that are quicker and easier to fabricate.

For composite doors the PCE flex is an option on the White profile only at the moment. Eurocell is planning to introduce foil variants in late 2013. PCE is now standard on Reversible window profiles.

The advanced co-extruded gasket system provides significant production benefits and in particular market-leading air-tightness, weathering performance and increased adhesion.

White non-PCE will continue to be available. However, as the superiority of PCE gaskets is now widely accepted Eurocell expects more fabricators to move to this method.

Ian Kernaghan, Product Manager at Eurocell, said: “The superiority of PCE gaskets is now widely accepted. We expect more fabricators to move to this method as building regulation requirements and performance of windows and doors become ever more stringent.”
