Free Seminar For Designers On Rotational Moulding
Tuesday, 20 April 2010
A free seminar on rotational moulding specially tailored for designers in plastics will be held at the PDM Exhibition, The Telford International Centre in Telford on Wednesday, 19th May 2010.
More information is available at www.designseminar.co.uk
Rotational Moulding is a little understood industrial process but for designers it offers tremendous opportunity to realize concepts in most product markets. Probably best known as the process used to produce the 'Michelin Man', progressive designers have harnessed its potential to create award winning products such as the 'Beehaus'
Organised by the Rotational Moulders Group of the British Plastics Federation(BPF), a series of experts will lead designers through the raw materials used together with their different properties, provide a layman -friendly guide to the process itself and illustrate the range of surface finishes and graphics achievable.
Design case studies will show how plastics recyclate can be used and the products for which it is most suitable.
There will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion.
Dhrupal Joshi, BPF's executive responsible for organising the event said, 'The Seminar will be an ideal meeting ground for designers, the rotational moulding industry, its suppliers and customers, a real incubator for new ideas'
The seminar starts at 10.25 am and finishes at 1.45pm. More information is available at www.designseminar.co.uk
