Goodfish Receive ISO 14001 Accreditation

Goodfish are delighted to confirm that they have recently received ISO 14001 accreditation.  The internationally recognised standard helps companies implement environmental management processes during their day to day operations, conform to applicable regulatory requirements and focus on continuous improvement.

Polly Kendrick, Senior Manager, Operations at Goodfish was responsible for driving the company forward to achieve ISO 14001 added “That it took a lot of hard work and commitment from everybody within the site and helped make us all more aware of our responsibilities and behaviour and it ensures that the business is more efficient and a great proposition for current and potential customers”.

Goodfish Limited based in Cannock and Powell & Harber in Worcester, acquired by the group in January 2015 are thriving as OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers recognise that “Best Cost Sourcing” and the ability of Goodfish to respond quickly to spikes in demand and deliver components “Just in Time” has huge benefits and supports their own objectives.

Both sites have in-house tool rooms with the latest wire and spark erosion equipment.  Tools can be designed and manufactured in just a few weeks and the Goodfish Group will take the project from initial conception right through to initial sample delivery.

Rapid prototyping, printing, painting, coating and assembly are additional services offered by the group and components can be manufactured in a variety of materials to suit.

Andy Hollis, Senior Manager, Commercial and Polly Kendrick were invited to a PRW (Plastics Rubber Weekly) awards luncheon at the PDM exhibition in Telford last week and collected a winner’s prize.  The inaugural “Best Places to Work in the UK’s Plastics Industry” was managed for PRW by a U.S. based independent workplace research group.  Firms registered for free to take part in the programme and marks were awarded for feedback from both the employer and employee surveys evaluating their workplace experience and organisational structure.

Goodfish was announced as one of the winners and Group Managing Director, Greg McDonald added “We’ve long believed that what differentiates us from our competitors is not our new machinery or tidy plants but our people and our culture.  This award goes some way towards recognising this”.

Goodfish is pleased to announcement that they have appointed Paul Groenestein to the position of Group Business Development Manager.

Paul has worked in the polymer industry for the last 8 years and is tasked with widening the group’s sector exposure and increasing business in all areas in line with the company’s organic growth plans.
