Green Deal Boss Visits BPF

Michelle Frew, Head of Green Deal Delivery for the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), visited the BPF’s London head office on 7 November to discuss the scheme with several BPF groups.

The BPF invited Frew to meet with members of the construction groups, including the Windows, EPS, Cellular PCV and Sheet & Coated Plastics groups, following the DECC’s failure to launch the Green Deal consultation paper, originally planned for 27 October.

During her visit, Frew discussed at length the reasons and implications for the postponement of the consultation paper. In addition, the meeting provided a welcome opportunity for the DECC to clarify to interested BPF parties some of the confusion, and misinformation, which has surrounded the Green Deal scheme.
