The British Plastics Federation (BPF) provides information and resources about plastics and flexible packaging, including BPF position statements, which provide facts on a range of issues relating to plastic packaging. In addition, you can find video content and downloads about plastic packaging and information about plastic packaging innovations.

The BPF also provides information about the Climate Change Agreement — set up by the UK government to encourage investment in energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

A project jointly run by the BPF and the Environmental Services Association commissioned an independent survey that found that 94% of adults within the UK claim to recycle plastic most of the time, with 60% of adults claiming they 'always' recycle plastic. However, this does not appear to correlate with the UK's published recycluing figures, suggesting a dispcrepancy between 'claimed' behaviour and actrual behaviour.
