Introduction of additional sanctions against Russia

Last week (Wednesday 22nd June) the Government introduced a new tranche of trade sanctions on Russia.  This was published via a Notice to Importers which can be found HERE

To note in particular are the “Prohibitions on the import, acquisition or supply and delivery of revenue generating goods that originate in or are consigned from Russia” which includes HS code 3902 - Polymers of propylene or of other olefins, in primary forms, as listed under Schedule 3 (3D).

Guidance on the scope of sanctions against Russia, including the circumstances in which licences can be granted, will shortly be updated and can be found on the Russia sanctions: guidance page.

The Government’s Export Support Service is ready to help with any other enquiries about exporting or trading with Russia or Ukraine that are not specific to the requirement for export licences.
