IRC Polymer Science and Technology 10 day Modular Course 2009

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new module to this year's course, Organic Electronics!

The polymer industry is constantly evolving, with polymer electronics being one of the fastest areas of both innovation and commercial growth.1 The IRC is expanding its training portfolio to match this market demand by the introduction of a 10th module to the course programme, to give an overview on the design, preparation and uses of organic conjugated polymers and oligomers in the electronics industry.

The new module compliments the established course which already covers a wide area of topics in everything from polymer engineering, physics, chemistry, biomaterials and nanotechnology.

Programme

26th October - Basic Polymer Science Part I - Synthesis Properties and Processing

27th October - Basic Polymer Science Part II - Characterisation and Analysis

28th October - Polymer Chemistry

29th October - Polymer Engineering (University of Bradford)

30th October - Polymer Physics

2nd November - Multiphase Polymer Materials and Composites

3rd November - Organic Electronics - Synthesis, Properties and Application in Devices

4th November - Polymeric Biomaterials

5th November - Introduction to Polymer Nanotechnology

6th November - Polymer Dynamics and Macromolecular Rheology

The individual modular fee, including Organic Electronics, is £330.00. Discounts are available for multiple choices and you can choose to take part in as many or as few of the modules as you require. Accommodation is not included in the price, but full catering is provided throughout the day, and you will be provided with a personalised set of electronic and bound course notes.

The full 10 day course fee is substantially discounted to £2250.00.

If you interact with polymer scientists, either as a customer, supplier or within a research and development team, and need to understand more about how your products and or processes work, then this is the course for you.

If you or your any of your colleagues would be interested in this 10 day course or any of the individual modules, please contact me at [email protected]
