Jean-Marc Galvez Elected as President of European Plastics Converters

The European Plastics Converters (EuPC) has announced the election of Jean-Marc Galvez as its new President for the 2026 to 2028 term, following a vote held at the EuPC General Assembly on 3 June 2026. Mr. Galvez succeeds Benoit Hennaut, who has served as EuPC President for the past four years.

The British Plastics Federation welcomes this appointment and congratulates Mr. Galvez on taking up this important role at such a pivotal time for the plastics industry across Europe.

Jean-Marc Galvez currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Amcor, where he leads the company's global rigids packaging division. He brings more than 35 years of international leadership experience spanning general management, sales, operations, and R&D across both private and public companies, including senior executive positions at Berry Global, AVINTIV, Dow, Monsanto, and Elf Atochem. Having lived and worked in seven countries, he brings a genuinely global perspective to the role.

Mr. Galvez commented on his appointment:

"I am honoured to serve as President of EuPC at such an important moment for our industry. Plastics converters play a critical role in advancing innovation, competitiveness and circularity globally and across Europe, and I look forward to working closely with our members and partners to help shape a more sustainable, competitive and resilient future for the plastics value chain."

Outgoing President Benoit Hennaut also shared his thoughts:

"I am pleased to hand over the Presidency of EuPC to Jean-Marc Galvez who will ensure the association will continue to strive for the interest of all plastics converters in Europe in challenging times for the industry."

The BPF works closely with EuPC as part of the broader European plastics community, and we look forward to continuing that collaboration under Mr. Galvez's leadership. His track record in driving business transformation and his commitment to circularity and sustainable growth align well with the priorities our sector continues to champion.
