Join a beach clean up
From 16th – 19th September is the Great British Beach Clean with beach clean events taking place across the UK. The Great British Beach Clean is organised by the Marine Conservation Society who the BPF works with on reducing marine litter.
6035 people took part in the 2015 Great British Beach Clean with 3298 items of litter picked up per kilometre squared. This was the highest number of volunteers in the 22 year history of the clean ups but unfortunately was also the highest amount of litter collected per a kilometre surveyed.
