23rd of October - last day of the K 2019 exhibition and what a show it has been....
Over the eight days of the K 2019, where the BPF coordinated the British Pavilion of 25 exhibitors within two halls: Hall 5 (materials) and Hall 12 (machinery) we have had dozens of meetings, took nearly one hundred enquiries on the BPF stand and promoted all BPF Members from the BPF booth.
The British Pavilion exhibitors were:
For the first time at K the British Pavilion featured a UK Visitors Networking Area. This space dedicated to British visitors based in Hall 5 was used to host meetings and for foreign investment companies to meet with the DIT staff.
The DIT hosted a reception on the first day of the show, which attracted a lot of attention and brought companies interested in meeting the British delegates. Our guests were welcomed by Graham Mulholland from DIT's Advanced Engineering with his opening remarks followed by networking drinks with the exhibitors and visitors.

Two members of the BPF: Mike Boswell, Managing Director of Plastribution and Richard Cowling, Managing Director of Hellyar Plastics completed a 10km charity run on first day of the exhibition and arrived just in time for a cold beer at the afternoon drinks reception. The 10km around the streets of Düsseldorf was to mark their 10th K-Show, but most importantly to raise money for The Prince’s Trust and highlight the good work of the BPF in helping to educate young people about the importance of plastics to society and the need for us all to take responsibility for a sustainable future for the global population. You can still donate by JustGiving.

On the second day of the show, 17th October, Interplas Events hosted an Interplas Networking Boat Party at the BPF-supported Hotel Boat, Rembrandt Van Rijn. British exhibitors and guests invited could relax after all day at the show and network whilst enjoying a glass of wine or a cold beer.
On Sunday, 20th October, the BPF's Director General, Philip Law and BPF's Industry and Sustainbility Manager, Matt Davies presented at the PlasticsEurope’s Kuno, Olly, Plastek & Plasty at K 2019 event promoting the PlasticsEurope’s primary school education kit.
The programme featured presentations and discussion followed by a practical demonstration of the “Kuno family” experiments.
