Member States Authorise DEHP Recycling

Member states and the EU Commission have granted authorisation for the recycling of DEHP-containing PVC into flooring as well as other items.
With the decision coming on 20th April 2016, the authorisation has been granted to three companies until 21st February 2019 with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) also recommending it. This decision comes after the European Parliament had initially stalled the approval to gather more information on the socio-economic benefits of authorisation versus the risks involved.
