MicroGuardTM –Anti-Microbial Hard Coating Developments

In June the BPF published an article covering Peerless Plastic & Coatings specialist permanent Anti-Microbial Hard Coating MicroGuardTM .
This hard coating offers scratch resistance and chemical resistance together with improved surface hygiene performance making it ideal for many applications.
The use of hard coatings on plastic products can extend the useful life significantly.
As contract manufacturer and leading UV hard coating company, Peerless generally work with customers to develop their own products and help launch them into market. However, in recent months Peerless have continued to develop new products which incorporate the MicroGuardTM coating to offer hygienic surfaces in the workplace, schools, colleges, restaurant and retailers.
Furthermore, Peerless have invested heavily in Anti-Viral testing across a range of products which incorporate the MicroGuardTM coating. Demand for testing is high but Peerless have already received results that prove that the MicroGuardTM coating reduces FCoV (Feline Coronavirus).
Peerless are also developing new Anti-Microbial coating solutions which offer additional properties such as Anti-Fog/Anti-Mist together with coatings which can be applied within their facility, onto products manufactured from other material such as metal and wood.
Peerless believe that there is an opportunity to provide protective surfaces incorporating MicroGuardTM and help improve hygiene in many areas of life such as:
- Car interiors, for example gear sticks, door handles
- Wall coverings, such as public toilets
- Table and desk coverings, within schools and restaurant.
