Mission to India 2018
Ambedabad, India, 7th -10th February 2018
The British Plastics Federation and Department for International Trade (DIT) India would like to invite British delegates to join a trade mission to India, taking place during India's largest plastics exhibition: Plastindia 2018.

A market visit is one of the best ways to discover first-hand how to access one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing Plastics markets. The UK Plastics industry delegates can explore the opportunities resulting from the huge demand for raw materials, machinery and services that India offers from its variety of developing sectors, which includes packaging, consumer goods, construction, automotive and more…
The mission will include pre-arranged B2B meetings, entry to the exhibition and an exclusive market briefing with food and drinks at the residence of British Deputy High Commissioner Ahmedabad, Geoff Wain.

Why India and Plastindia?
According to Plastindia Foundation, the Indian plastics industry body, India is expected to be the third largest plastic consumer in the world by 2020. Consumption of plastics in the packaging sector alone in the next five years is predicted to double. In light of these projections, there is a significant need for raw materials, technology and equipment in India.

- Two million tonnes of plastics consumption in agriculture per annum by 2020
- 7th Largest manufacturing base in the world by 2020
- 464 Million youth popolation by 2021 - Largest in the world

Plastindia Exhibition
PLASTINDIA is the largest plastics and rubber fair in India and second largest plastics show worldwide. The event takes place every three years and covers 125,000 sqm of exhibition space with over 2,000 exhibitors and expected 200,000 visitors.
Accommodation in the group hotel
The BPF is holding a group booking at the Regenta Central Antarim Hotel for the British delegates at a highly discounted rate of INR 12,000 + local taxes (9 % TAX + 12.50 % City tax) for single occupancy. The rate for Room includes :
• Breakfast and buffet style Dinner

Cost
There is a delegate fee of £100 + VAT to join the mission. Flight and accommodation in the group hotel (Regenta Central Antarim Hotel) will be borne by the delegates directly.
The cost includes:
- Daily transfer to and from the exhibition centre
- Market briefing with food and drinks at the Deputy High Commissioner's residence.
- Entry pass to Plastindia exhibition
- Pre arranged B2B meetings
- Use of the BPF/DIT Networking stand with complimentary refreshments
- Listing in the official British Group Guide printed and distributed during the show
