Pellet Loss Prevention Across the Supply Chain - 30 June 2020

Adela Putinelu, BPF Sustainability Executive, will present the progress on Operation Clean Sweep and discuss some the recent developments around standardisation measures. The BPF, together with other partners, have begun developing a PAS specification which is coordinated by the British Standards Institute (BSI). This represents the first standardisation project on pellet loss prevention. Building on Operation Clean Sweep, the PAS can be used by companies across the supply chain to verify compliance with best practice measures.

Adela Putinelu is the Sustainability Issues Executive at the British Plastics Federation (BPF) and works on different areas of sustainability in the plastics industry including on marine pollution, circular economy and waste management. 

She specialises in environmental policy and has a Master of Science in Environmental Technology from the Imperial College in London and a Master of Arts in International Development from the University of Manchester. She has worked in the past for the Environmental Investigation Agency in London and Carbon Market Watch in Brussels.
