PIRAP now has 50 supporters

The 50th company has signed up as a PIRAP supporter.  Increasing plastic packaging recycling is very important to companies, and to the future of sustainable businesses across the value chain.

Recent sign ups to PIRAP have included Bunzl and Ecosurety with the Coop, Surrey Waste Partnership, Monoworld Recycling and Linpac Recycling all having signed up in the last few months.

The Plastics Industry Recycling Action Plan (PIRAP) is a whole value chain approach. Each sector is given specific actions to explore and work towards and currently working groups are being organised to explore the barriers to plastic packaging recycling and examine how to help overcome these. The whole value chain being involved in PIRAP is key as it is not something which one sector can do independently. PIRAP aims to share the best practice already taking place across the value chain and one way it does so is by its quarterly newsletter which is available through the website.

PIRAP was launched in June 2015 and is being implemented by the British Plastics Federation (BPF) and PlasticsEurope with the support of WRAP.
