The fair held in Istanbul over four days comprised of 5 halls of the Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Center.

The show attracted 1000 exhibitors from 42 countries with 28,000 visitors coming from over 60 countries. The British Group was located in Hall 5 and comprised of 6 exhibitors:
1. Applied Market Information Ltd (research, world plastics market reports)
2. IDT Systems Ltd (3D surface decoration solutions)
3. Listgrove Ltd (HR and recruitment for plastics industry)

In addition the BPF carried catalogues of a number of member companies including Pipe Coil Technology (coiling equipment).
The majority of British exhibitors received UK Trade & Investment Grants of £1,000 which were accessed via the BPF.
Peter Woodd CEO of IDT Systems Ltd commented…
“This is now the second event that we have attended with the BPF team and in our experience exhibiting with the BPF saves a lot of time as their professional team handles a lot of the time consuming administration.
In the 4 days we had 187 enquiries, appointed a distribution partner and have quoted for €220,000 at the event. Turkey is a very interesting market and as an emerging EU member it is our belief that it will be a powerful manufacturing base within the EU community”.
At the fair the British Plastics Federation represented all of our member firms and collected a large number of business enquiries which will be circulated to members. The BPF distributed over 500 ‘Buyers Guides’ which list all group members, with full contact details and business profiles. In addition the BPF were promoting a series of European Projects on plastics related issues.
