The Environmental Audit Committee’s Report on Plastic Bags Published

On Thursday 6th June, the Environmental Audit Committee published its report looking at Government proposals to introduce a 5p charge on single use plastic carrier bags.

Jessica Baker represented the interests of the BPF Recycling Group (BPFRG) in front of the Committee on 8 January 2014.

The Committee report supports the view, also shared by the BPFRG, that Defra should drop plans to include exeptions.
