This one day event will explore the emerging opportunities available to boost further plastics recycling. This event is aimed at all stakeholders public and private, with an interest in the plastics recycling sector, providing delegates with an objective appreciation for the current and future opportunities for plastics recycling.
The objective of the seminar is to explore the various ways in which the industry and key stakeholders can take proactive steps to expand and increase plastics recycling in the UK.

Mark Burstall (Chairman, BPF Recycling Council) Qualified engineer with over 30 years experience in the recycling industry. Chairman of the BPF Recycling Council and of the CEN working group on standards for recycled plastics. |

Jan-Erik Johansson (Reginal Director, Plastics Europe - North) "Jan-Erik Johansson, a Swede, has worked for 30 years in the plastics industry in a variety of positions ranging from engineering and control to sales, marketing and business management. He has a chemical engineer education later complemented with a business administration degree. |

Cllr Paul Bettison (Leader of Bracknell Forest Unitary Authority, Chairman of LACORS and IDeA National Lead Peer) Having spent ten successful years with US based Rockwell International, before setting up his own successful business, Paul turned to local politics in 1991. In 1996 Paul was elected Leader of the Conservative Group (then in opposition) at Bracknell Forest, winning power during the elections in May 1997. Under Paul’s leadership, the Conservative Group at Bracknell Forest managed a “seamless” transition to unitary status in 1998. |

Other sectors to which this event should appeal include equipment and service suppliers to the sector.

The British Plastics Federation Directions: Leave Old Street Station Via exit 3 and keeping the roundabout behind you head down Old Street towards Rivington Street. On your left you will see a small row of shops including a pub called Nelson's Retreat and on your right you will pass a pub called The Aquarium. Keep heading straight following the road (Old Street) until you come to several sets of traffic lights at this point you will need to cross over towards The Foundry and keeping this pub on your left follow the road around the corner until you enter Rivington Street. Follow Rivington Street for approx. 50 meters and turn left, down the ramp, into Bath Place (the first building after the car park). The BPF is on the far side of the Courtyard situated directly opposite the ramp. |
King's Cross, Moorgate, Euston and Liverpool Street stations are within easy reach of Old Street.
