The show is a six-day mega event which offers an ideal meeting place for buyers and sellers wanting to enhance their business prospects in the Indian market place. The show has grown dramatically over recent years and it is now seen as the second most important plastics show in the world after Kunstoffe. The BPF is co-ordinating a large British Pavilion in the main International Hall at the show, taking care of all logistics, stand construction and assisting in the marketing of the group. What’s more the BPF have secured Government Grants of £1,400 for eligible companies.

Why India?

The Indian Plastics Industry is growing at a phenomenal rate of 15% (twice that of GDP) year on year and is set to reach 12.5 MMT of consumption by 2010, making India the 3rd largest consumer of plastics in the world.
The recycling market in India is very strong with 47% of the total plastics waste generated being recycled.  It is estimated that by 2030 the volume of plastics waste will increase 10 times compared to the situation in the year 2000.
With rising incomes and a growing middle class, flows into the equity market from Indian households could rise from 0.2 percent of GDP in 2005 to 5.4 percent of GDP by 2010.
The electronics, packaging, healthcare, automotive, consumer durables and telecommunication
industries are growing at an incredible rate offering massive opportunities for plastics companies.
India has moved up 10 notches in world competitiveness ranking from 39 to 29 ahead of South Korea according to Switzerland based international institute of Management Development (IMD).
The scope for expansion and development in the Indian Plastics Industry is vast and offers massive potential for UK companies.  Plastindia only occurs once every 3  years, can you afford to miss it?
