Matt Wherlock from Applied Market Information (AMI) said:
“AMI's directories of plastics processors in central Europe, including Poland, were once again well received with several orders confirmed at the show. Plastpol 2010 was a good opportunity for AMI to keep up-to-date with the plastics market in Poland as well as build relations with existing and potential customers.”
UK Trade & Investment Support:
All British exhibitors received a grant of £1000 from UK Trade & Investment towards the cost of exhibiting. UK exhibitors on any International trade fairs are encouraged to look into the T&C of the UK T&I grants or contact their local representative of the body to discuss the export initiatives they may receive a financial support for. Market Overview:
Poland has reported a GDP growth of 1.1% in 2009, which in the current economic climate is very impressive. Since joining the EU in 2004, the country has had a strong demand for polymers in all sectors, particularly in packaging, appliances, consumer electronics and automotive. The Polish plastics industry is now the largest in the Central European region in terms of both production and consumption levels.
