The BPF Polymer Ambassador Scheme is looking for active participants to combat the growing skills gap in the Plastics Industry. On Monday 10th July 2017 at BPF House, you can play a part in becoming equipped with the tools to inspire the next generation of industry leaders. To register, please click here.
Background
The Polymer Ambassador Scheme is an initiative to give people from the polymer industry the opportunity to teach children and students about the exciting world of polymers, to engage them about the possibilities of science, engineering and manufacturing.
The Polymer Ambassador Scheme, incepted in late 2015, was setup as a long term tool for combating the widening skills gap in the plastics industry. Following the BPF's own Skills Landscape Report, it was noted that over 60% of member firms were having difficulty recruiting staff. This led to various initiatives being setup within the BPF Education & Skills Committee, including this one.
