PolySolve engages with EPS Manufacturers

The PolySolve project - funded under the 7th Framework Programme as a Research for Associations project - will in December 2013 hold it's first 'workshop', in tandem with the BPF's EPS Group.

The BPF's EPS Group represents 80% of the expandable polystyrene manufacturing industry in the UK and works to provide authoritative, reliable information to companies and individuals seeking independent facts about the performance of the material. The protective and insulating abilities of EPS are unrivalled, making it a prime packaging material and an outstanding provider of thermal insulation in the construction industry. The Group's details can be found HERE.

The 'workshop' provides an opportunity for the PolySolve project to discuss progress to date and look to optimise the recycling process, as we head into the final 12months of the project. Tim Marsden, Senior Projects Executive at the BPF commented that "the PolySolve project has shown some interesting developments so far and we hope that with feedback from the EPS Group, we can further develop the EPS side of the recycling stream and provide some genuine solutions for our members."

More information on the PolySolve can be viewed on the project website or downloaded HERE.
