PolySolve Project Concludes

The 3 year Research for SME Associations project – PolySolve – has now formally concluded. The project focussed on an environmentally sustainable route to recycling waste EPS (both packaging and construction waste) and PC. With the formal objectives of the project completed, the project consortium conducted a 1 day seminar in November 2014, in conjunction with Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) Annual Meeting, in Brussels. The seminar provided delegates with further information on the project, the main results and the next steps for the technology. Whilst acknowledging that there is some technical work still to do – the technology is feasible and is able to be transferred to a larger scale.
The project website, which also contains a demonstration video, is still available at www.polysolve.eu and the presentations from the Workshop are available from Tim Marsden – [email protected]
Although the FP7 scheme is now closed, the BPF is actively looking to participate in the new scheme, Horizon 2020. Any members wishing to discuss European R&D Funding, please contact [email protected] and we will be able to assist you.
