New BPF Member benefit- savings on the Group Life Assurance pilot scheme

Do you provide Group Life Assurance to your employees?

If so BPF, working with our Employee Benefits Partners Punter Southall Health and a Protection (PSHP)  are considering sponsoring an ‘umbrella’ Group Life Assurance arrangement.

We have been shown that significant cost reductions (up to 40%) and efficiency benefits could result for the BPF Members.
The proposed scheme will offer two options, either:

• A fixed percentage reduction from the current rates any qualifying* BPF member is paying. That reduction will be valid for 3 years from take up instead of the normal period of 2 years
• Or, if sufficient interest is forthcoming, a pooled BPF Affinity Life Assurance Scheme

 This would be priced at the same flat rate for all qualifying* Members, which would again be lower than your current rate 
You may be offered one of both options.

*to qualify these terms can only be offered if no anticipated claims of significant value are imminent.

It doesn’t matter when your policy renews, this is a research project to establish the appetite amongst Members for the idea. Please register your interest by emailing the BPF on [email protected] by Friday 30 June, including the name of your current insurer and your policy number(s). We will then arrange for PSHP to contact you for details of your own policy, or to obtain them from your insurer. 

Please note that:

• Each member’s current benefit specification would be fully replicated
• Each member’s employee data would be held separately for total confidentiality
• Your current Trust arrangements would continue
• The rates obtained would only hold whilst you are a member of BPF
