Recycling.com announces that it has started to host live trades

Recycling.com today announces that it has started to host live trades, and the first transactions have been completed successfully. Since launching last September, the revolutionary trading platform now has in excess of 170 member registrations across the world. After an initial focus on Europe and Asia, it has begun to target North America and had a stand at the recent ISRI Convention and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida, where it excited a lot of interest with 15 companies signing up during the event alone.

The first trades that were listed on Recycling.com consisted of various grades of copper, aluminium, paper and plastics, with a value of around $1 million. Current live trades have a value of over $500,000 and there is also a large ferrous auction planned for the next few weeks, which will on its own be worth around $1 million.

One member who has recently completed a transaction through Recycling.com said: “Having been in this industry for some time I was a little bit sceptical at first but the benefits of using Recycling.com are all there: it’s very efficient, increases transparency in terms of both pricing and knowing where your product ends up, and their charges are very clear and fair.
