RoboxDual Makes 3D Printing Quick and Easy
Tuesday, 16 October 2018
RoboxDual, brought to us by CEL-UK, is an update to the orignal Robox.
It includes a range of unique features developed in the UK, one of which is the DualMaterial™ print head.
This enables users to create parts in two materials at once (via two independently controlled heater elements), giving high levels of control across an immense range of polymers.
CEL-UK's RoboxDual was nominated for a Horners Award in Plastic Design & Innovation because of its ability to create parts that were previously difficult or even impossible with a single material printer.

The process occurs is by creating support pillars with a material different to the model structure which can be peeled away or dissolved from the model easily, thus increasing the accuracy of overhangs and critical details.
Due to the compact form-factor of Robox, designers can now prototype designs on their desks without needing to modify the design for ease of printing.
Needle valves are unique to Robox, allowing for faster and more efficient printing of multiple materials on the same layer.
This valve system combines with a nozzle switching mechanism in a patented system which allows the printer to create accurate parts far faster, with less material waste than any other 3D printer.
Finally, the firm's headquarters are based in Portishead, West of England. What's more, new generation RoboxPRO 3D printers are being manufactured here in the UK to boost export.
