Description:

Extinguishers have to be lightweight, but have to withstand the inside pressure. These products are therefore mainly made of Aluminium. Due to the harsh chemicals that are used in these products, they attack the Aluminium and therefore a corrosion barrier is required.
To protect the tank for many years, a material with excellent adhesion should be lined in the tank and the neck to provide a corrosion resistant coating

ICORENE® 1870 is a unique thermoplastic material that has been specifically developed, to provide an excellent bonding to aluminium surfaces and has good chemical resistance.

Results

Excellent adhesion to the aluminium part, easy to mould material, with enhanced corrosion protection, possible to reduce thickness and available in black colour.
