Russell Livesey Takes Over as BPF Masterbatch & Technical Compounds Group Chairman

Russell Livesey, Managing Director of  Colloids Ltd, has been confirmed as the new Chairman of the BPF’s Masterbatch & Technical Compounds Group, following the retirement of former Chairman, Greg Hammond of Gabriel-Chemie. 

Greg was the major force behind the creation of the BPF’s Masterbatch and Technical Compounds Group in 2006 and was awarded the BPF's Gold Medal for outstanding services to the Federation in 2014 after eight years at the helm.

The BPF’s Masterbatch & Technical Compounds Group now comprises some fifteen Member firms and has taken a particular interest in important issues such as; REACH, skills & training and the use of colour in design.

Beginning his duties as Chairman, Russell said, “I am looking forward to spearheading the Group’s continued efforts to provide a strong platform for UK colour and additives masterbatch manufacturers and suppliers, as well as promoting the integral role of colour in plastic products. With the support of our growing membership, I will endeavor to continue the positive evolution of the Group and the Plastics Industry we support.”
