Sajjad Karim MEP to Speak at BPF’s PVC Event

ImageSajjad Karim MEP is to deliver the keynote address at the upcoming PVC seminar on the topic of ‘Regulations – meeting targets and easing the burden’. He will draw on his experience as the European Parliament’s representative on the VinylPlus Monitoring Committee.

Entitled ‘PVC Products: Promoting Social Responsibility in Procurement Decision Making’, the seminar will take place at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on 3rd October 2013. The day will be of particular interest to anyone involved in the PVC supply chain, specifiers and marketing professionals.

Among the expert speakers will be the architect Jason Flanagan who will talk on the subject of his recent innovative Soundforms project. Other presentations include ‘Responsible sourcing of PVC’, ‘PVC Flooring – An Olympic Case Study’ and a look at the current and future status of VinylPlus.

Philip Law, BPF Public & Industrial Affairs Director, commented: “If you want to be briefed on the state of the art arguments supporting the use of PVC this seminar is an absolute must.”

Also speaking will be Brigitte Dero from ECVM, Jason Leadbitter and Chris Howick from INEOS ChlorVinyls, Jane Gardner from Recovinyl, Tracy Perry from Altro Floors, John Rodigan from Fife Council and Pat Young, a Patient Safety Design Advisor.
